What is Brazilian waxing?

Also known as the, ‘Back, Sac and Crack’. Involving the removal of hair from the groin, penis, scrotum, buttocks and anal area. You may request as much or as little hair removal as you like, and the price will be adjusted accordingly.

Does it hurt?

The hair is removed as quickly and easily as possible to cut down on any discomfort. We like to describe the sensation as ‘stinging’ and most clients agree that the discomfort is nowhere near as bad as they anticipated, and reduces even further with regular appointments.

Will it feel uncomfortable afterwards?

Slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common reactions immediately after a treatment but generally subside within a few hours. Many clients find that regular waxing results in less irritation. Applying an antiseptic cream for a few days after your treatment will help to soothe the skin. After care advice is given by your therapist.

Are there any conditions that will prevent me from getting waxed?

– Contagious skin conditions
– Clients taking Roaccutane must wait 6 months after finishing their medication
– Sunburnt, chafed or broken skin
– The use of steroid creams within the last 3 months.

How should I prepare for my treatment?

Please arrive freshly showered if possible. Do not shave or trim the area for at least 3 weeks prior to your appointment. The hair needs to be at least ½ cm long in order to wax successfully. We will do any necessary trimming for you on the day.

Who will perform the waxing treatment?

Your treatment will be carried out by our female technician Marion.

What type of wax do you use?

Cetuem hot wax, 100% natural resin with pure beeswax and Cetuem warm wax, Original Natural Aromatherapy Wax with natural resins and essential oils.

I’m worried about being naked or becoming aroused

Don’t panic! We aim to make all of our clients feel as comfortable as possible, and understand that you may be feeling nervous. Some clients experience temporary physical arousal in response to the manipulation of their genitals – this is nothing to worry about and usually subsides fairly rapidly.

How long will the treatment take?

This will depend on how much hair needs to be removed and you should allow 45-55 minutes for your first treatment This will include your consultation and homecare advice. Subsequent appointments usually take between 20 and 30 minutes.

How should I care for my skin afterwards?

You will be provided with an antiseptic cream that you should apply to the waxed skin for 3 days. You will also be given an exfoliating mitt to help prevent ingrown hairs. Start a few days after your treatment and scrub with the mitt 3 times a week in the bath or shower. The use of moisturiser daily will help the skin to stay soft and smooth.
For 2 days after your appointment NO sunbathing, saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, exercise, sexual activity, tight clothing that rubs excessively, swimming, hot baths or showers (cool or lukewarm water is fine), fragranced body lotions or sprays.

How long will the results last?

Every client is different so we recommend 4-6 weeks initially.
