What is EFT?

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a natural cognitive and meridian energy therapy that is administered by tapping on certain meridian point on the hands face and body. Rather like acupuncture but without the needles it can be given by a therapist but usually by self, with guidance from a practitioner. Tapping on the meridian points and focusing the mind on emotional upset, long held beliefs etc. that are causing concern, stopping the person from moving on or physical pain. Changes can be made often without the need to go back over the past or relive traumatic experiences.

The body’s Meridian lines allow energy, Qi, to flow freely through the body for optimum health and well-being. When the energy can’t flow freely and gets suck , the body gets sick, this can be a physical illness, emotional or psychological . The meridian lines have many acupuncture/ acupressure points along the pathways and by tapping, using the fingers, on the points the energy is released and the person becomes well again. This is an extremely simple and powerful technique that can be learnt by all ages, from children to those later in their life and can be used instantly when needed.
