What is oxidative stress?

Oxidative stress is an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the ability of the body to counteract their harmful effects through neutralisation by antioxidants.

Damage caused by oxidative stress leads to many pathophysiological conditions in the body, including:

  • Neurodegenerative diseases; Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s
  • Gene mutations and cancers
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Fragile X syndrome
  • Heart and blood vessel disorders; atherosclerosis, heart failure, heart attack and inflammatory diseases.

One of the easiest ways to reduce your oxidative stress and enhance your immunity is to fight free radicals with antioxidants.

What are free radicals?

Free radicals are caused by Toxic chemical compounds and pollutants in your body included in the list are-
